Stephanopoulos on our Action News update in Philly:
"You guys are the epicenter of this campaign."

The McCain folks are trying to limit the plurality in the Metro Philly area by running incessant commercials. The ad buys here are enormous and I'm wondering how this is all going to play out in the next few weeks here. Fortunately, there is a groundswell of support and workers here for Obama and the GOTV effort is going to be well=coordinated and effective. People realize how critical it is to vote and for the first time in my memory, the (wo)man on the street is aware of the importance of Philadelphia in the grand scheme of things...that the national election, if close, could hinge on the turnout for Obama in the city wards comprised of minority voters. I know a couple ward leaders and they are on the move. Once the 'street money' is distributed (I know, it's appalling, but in this case, this is what it is, and it's on our side for a change, so tough noogies to the purists) the fight will be on.
