It is the first day of tracking poll data following the VP debate, with each poll dropping a previous day and picking up Friday numbers, and it appears that there is no new national rally to McCain/Palin. While some pundits have raved at Gov. Palin's expectation exceeding performance, it appears that just because some voters might like her a bit more does not mean they want her in the White House.
Numbers and video after the jump.
mndarkhorse's diary :: ::
Gallup now has it 50 Obama (+1), 42 McCain (hold)
Research 2000/KDos now has it 52 Obama (+1), 40 McCain (hold)
Diageo/Hotline now has it 48 Obama (hold), 41 McCain (-1)
Rasmussen now has it 51 Obama (hold), 45 McCain (+1)
I think most Democrats, independents, and open minded fiscal conservatives did not feel much better about Gov. Palin after the debate. Even those who liked her more as a result of the debate probably still felt a lot like Hillary Rosen.
Just imagine Secretary of Defense Lieberman, "Vice President Palin, should we shoot down the plane headed towards the White House?"
"Doggonit, do it."
"Are you sure Mrs. Vice President?"
"You betcha!"
