If McCain gets elected, he'll use war to try to fix the economy
Some economists are predicting that the financial events now unfolding will lead to a Great Depression or worse. In this view, the bailout merely gives the players time to try to find a solution. The fact is, capitalism is currently a house of cards shaken by inflation, deficits, exchange rates, foreclosures, and various exotic investments. If this house of cards collapses, we could see trillions of dollars simply vanish, leading to massive poverty around the world, and all the kinds of changes that poverty and desperation bring. One way to fight economic problems is war, and there is only one candidate who sees the world through a military lens. Surely, the military industrial complex, the same group that can probably fix the election, has a vested interest in a McCain victory. They would earn billions, even as the economy collapsed and if the world was in flames.

It seems to me the current economic crisis makes an Obama victory more urgent than ever.

1. I don't think McCain has too much support in the military,
because however conservative they tend to be, they are part of the reality-based community. They don't want to be sent on impossible mission abroad and I doubt that we be too supportive of repression and home either, which could be on the horizon if national policies don't change. Also, military officers tend to be more astute politically than the average citizen, in my experience.
