Sarah & Dick Sitting In A Tree...
ttp://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:FU8XioDEDUeORM:

Isn't it unsettling that, as the United States prepares to see off a vice president who got in trouble for peddling fantasies regarding Saddam and terroirsm, the Republican nominee to replace Dick Cheney sounds an awfully lot like, er, Dick Cheney?

................................

Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) described Palin as a member of the "flat-earth caucus," who McCain picked purely to please the conservative base.

"With the choice of Gov. Palin, it’s the third term of Dick Cheney," Kerry said on ABC News' "This Week." "He’s chosen somebody who doesn’t believe climate change is man-made."

.........................

“Al Qaeda terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America,” Palin pronounced in her folksy Alaskan twang. “He’s worried that someone won’t read them their rights.”

Like current Vice President Dick Cheney, the GOP nominee apparently thinks that respecting “rights” are just another way of coddling our enemies.

PALIN: Worst thing, I guess that would have been the duck hunting accident — where, you know, that was an accident. And I think that was made into a caricature of him. And that was kind of unfortunate. So the best thing, though, he's shown support, along with George W. Bush, of our troops. And I've been there when George Bush has spoken to families of those who have suffered greatly, those who are serving in the military. I've been there when President Bush has embraced those families and expressed the concern and the sympathy speaking for all of America in those times. And for Dick Cheney to have supported that effort of George Bush's, I respect that.

PALIN: Well, our founding fathers were very wise there in allowing through the Constitution much flexibility there in the office of the vice president. And we will do what is best for the American people in tapping into that position and ushering in an agenda that is supportive and cooperative with the president's agenda in that position. Yeah, so I do agree with him that we have a lot of flexibility in there, and we'll do what we have to do to administer very appropriately the plans that are needed for this nation
