4. Not really, top of the ticket effects downticket races
If he literally quit the race then Republicans would just stay home en masse or vote for Barr and that would lead to far more Democratic victories down ticket.

5. considering his own party doesn't care about him and he had to pick someone like Palin
to get their support which is now hurting him it's unlikely he will do that.
