I was thinking Ed Hochuli. I wouldn't want to be that guy right now. The hurricane victims, that's pretty obvious though. But one single person? Even Bush seems to be doing better lately than McCain, because nobody really cares about him anymore.

But I won't bore you with the sad story, and it won't be covered by the networks, so you're safe. :)

may McCain have more of the same...(no pun intended)

I suggest we put on our helmets and put in our mouthguards.

8. Me.
Power went out on Sunday 9/14 (didn't get it back until Sat afternoon 9/21).

Lost my job on 9/15.

Spent my birthday, 9/16, in the dark wondering if my candles would last.

Had to go to the library and use their dim little 15-inch monitors to (1) file for unemployment (2) look for a job and (3) charge my cellphone everyday (phone linked to cable, out too). Almost went blind trying to read the screen. The gas I spent doing that every day HURT.

Ran out of money this weekend. Will get a little severance check tomorrow, but will it last until unemployment kicks in? Don't know.

John McCain can kiss my ass. :)

I'll make it through. But it SUCKS until I do.

13. thank you!
I'm going to hold out - this time - for a job that's more stable. Twice this year I've had a position with a small business yanked out from under me because of the economy / slow sales. This time, I'll be more careful... if I can afford to be. Or until I can't hold out any longer. :)

Anyone who lost their job because of the financial turmoil that McCain and his cronies are largely responsible for.
