Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 11:05 PM by Liberal_in_LA
shortly after she was chosen. Remember how she allowed herself to be used as the attack
dog against Obama. And how she told the "bridge to nowhere" lie over and over, damn well knowing it was a lie. She would raise her finger and say "I said thanks, but no thanks". Remember these things when you watch Palin make a fool of herself on national TV.

Also, remember that she's withhold rape kits and abortion from women.

3. No sympathy for arrogant , exploitive, ignorant twits.
She is a bit clever, at times, I will say that....and conniving, vindictive, self absorbed... What else could I say? Please, don't get me started.

4. She's not withholding rape kits. She's making women pay for the forensic evidence gathering into the
crime committed on them. This link describes it well. Having attended at investigations, gathering evidence after a rape, I am outraged that the victim had to pay for this. I wonder how many women decided to not prosecute when they found out that not only did they have to have a pelvic exam by police officers AFTER getting raped, but would have to pay a thousand dollars for it?

http://opedna.com/2008/09/08/wasilla-police-billed-sexual-assault-victims-for-rape-kits/
"A rape kit is a sexual assault forensic evidence kit, used to collect DNA that can be used in criminal proceedings to assist in the conviction of those who commit sex crimes. The kit is performed as soon as possible after a sexual assault or attack has been committed. It is usually humiliating and uncomfortable for the victim–imagine enduring that and then paying $1200 just so that the criminal who assaulted you might be caught."

7. I am just trying to frame it properly. "Rape kit" doesn't give the same impact as
having to pay for your own police forensic evidence gathering. That whole thing makes me really really mad. Having been a nurse during several of these, I cannot imagine being told "we will but you have to pay for it". I mean, (insert really bad words here), you've just been raped. You know there will be crap if it gets to court, and now you have to not only spread it for uniformed police to poke and prod and comb and scrape, but you have to pay for it.

10. First I heard it was put into place before she was mayor, & she didn't stop it. THEN I heard SHE did
it, changed the budget to make women pay for their own evidence collection and that really really really pisses me off. Then Tony Knowles, a dem gov, got a law passed and signed BECAUSE of what Palin did, to make that not happen. It really pisses me off.

12. Look at it this way... Palin put rape kits on the map. Google 'rape kits' and a lot of hits involve
Palin. She's tied to this issue. Dems need to make an ad about it.

13. That is a good idea. I remember one time, sitting with a woman in a room on the med floor of a hosp
Talking with me, me mostly keeping her company, then getting the exam over with.

Then someone found out that, OMG! I had a woman there that had been raped! OMG! How DARE I have such a slut sitting in a chair in a room there? I mean, what if she had VD and someone else came in and slept in the bed in that room and caught it?!?!?!? Talking 1977, and I did let that other nurse have it. Good lord.

Times have changed, somewhat. A friend's 11 yr old was raped a couple yrs ago. Friend is also a nurse. Sometimes I don't understand people.

8. Biden is going to hand Palins ass back to her on a silver platter on national TV.
I wouldn't miss that debate even if they were charging $150 for it on pay per view.
