So the Bush Twins Listen to OutKast? I Wonder if They Like These Lyrics
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 08:17 AM by GiovanniC
W-A-Rrah, there'll be no tomorrow but sorrow
and horror will follow the hollow hearts battle for dollars
Politicians, modern day magicians
Physicians of death, more health care for poor health
Who makin us ill, they makin us kill
That's makin me spill my guts (chill Big, lay in the cut)
For what? I refuse to sit in the backseat and get handled
Like I do nuttin all day but sit around watch the Cartoon Channel
I rap about, the Presidential election and the scandal
that followed
, and we all watched the nation, as it swallowed
and chalked it up, basically America you got FUCKED
The media shucked and jived now we stuck - damn!

1. they probably don't care, to them it's about hanging out and having fun
and being "cool" and into, pop culture you know.

11. Their appearance at the RNC sure was about that
They were "just hanging out and having fun".
No substance to their talk; nothing but lame jokes about their parents.
I don't even know why they were allowed to go on!
They acted like two spoiled Barbie dolls.

3. I doubt it.
I would guess that they've never heard an Outkast song that wasn't in heavy rotation on top 40 radio.

Not sure the lyrics are relevant to their father though.

6. Andre 3000 said that he has never voted before, but now
he feels the current administration is so bad he will definitely vote this year - against Bush.

Bet the Bush girls didn't know that, either. Irony!

8. I saw Andre 3000 a month ago eating chinese food, ask me anything.
He was alone. In one of his whacky plaid outfits. What a crack up.
I love the guy for stepping up and making a difference. Great E trues story on him...(and big boi). Geat home movies of them as little kids singing together.

12. Touch you!
I'm addicted to both of the latest CDs. I bought it for my husband as a gift, and he can't pry them out of my hands.

Truly amazing mix of musical genres. And the lyrics are something else!

13. Try and touch me... my bodyguards will crush you. I love outkast.

And this love sort of crept up on me. Having iniitially dismissed it as hiphop (and having tuned out hip-hop out ever since right about time of the Eastcoast Westcoast rap wars but not because of them) my radar didn't pick it up until I heard Ms. Jackson. Been a fan ever since. Someone once described real "style" to me and they said you're lucky if you just see the contrails after it goes blazing right by you. Outkast has style. Andre and BB do what they do so effortlessly, blending, relating, shifting gears, making statements, all disguised as pop music with very little pretension but always over the top. Though I would like to bring to everybody's attention that Andre3000's wardrobe is not totally original.... Check out Ike Turner circa 1971. He had that whacky southern pimp (don't even know what to call it)look down first
