INSANITY! John McCain lashes out at Hillary Clinton...
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 12:35 PM by TwoSparkles
Wow. I'm really stunned by this.

I'm listening to MSNBC right now, and they're talking about the anti-Iran regime rally, sponsored by
several Jewish organizations. Apparently, Hillary Clinton was scheduled to attend. Unknown
to Hillary, Sarah Palin was also invited to attend.

As reported by Andrea Mitchell, Hillary canceled once she found out that Palin was going to
be there--as she didn't want the event to be politicized. Can you imagine? The media would
make it all about, "Did Hillary and Palin snub each other? Did they talk at all?"

Mitchell just reported that in response to Hillary canceling John McCain said that Hillary Clinton's
absence from this event is because, "This shows that Hillary doesn't care about the danger of Iran, and
Governor Palin does."

McCain and Hillary Clinton have been friends and colleagues for years. It's no big secret that they're
on very close, friendly terms--and have been for years. Remember the nice things that Hillary said
about McCain during our own Democratic primary? Hillary refused to impugn John McCain.

Now, look what McCain does to Hillary, because she won't attend this event.

There must be something going on behind the scenes, that explains McCain's outrage at Hillary
not attending. Could it be that McCain desperately wants Palin to be seen mingling and being
friendly with Hillary Clinton--in order to give her credibility with those blue-collar, Hillary
voters that McCain wants to secure?

It sounds like he might have tried to do this, without Hillary's blessing--or even her awareness
that this would be happening. Can you imagine walking into that hornet's nest???

McCain's lashing out indicates that his plan was foiled. Am I overreacting, when I say that this is
one of the most disgusting things than John McCain has EVER done???

27. He's calling her unAmerican...
That's basically what this is about. He's saying, without saying it, that she doesn't support Israel.

He's going to attempt to tie this to Obama and say he's not serious about Iran and doesn't support Israel.

McCain is trying to turn this into political hay knowing full well that putting both Hillary and Palin on the same stage was nothing short of a political stunt.

McCain just keeps sinking lower...that POS!

50. And Hillary was very Hawkish over Iran...
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 12:51 PM by TwoSparkles
She had a more hard-line approach to Iran, than most Democrats.

She came out and agreed with Bush, when Bush was saber rattling against Iran, two years ago.

Remember when Hillary came out and said that "War with Iran is not off the table."?

Agree or disagree with Hillary on those views---it is clear that she does care about this issue
and has gone against her party to take a tough stance against Iran. I didn't agree with Hillary
on her Iran opinions, but it's obvious that she had a crystal clear opinion and everyone--including
John McCain understood what Hillary's position on Iran was.

To scream out--like a rabid pterodactyl, "YOU JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT IRAN!" is the behavior of a man
who is unraveling at the seams.

What a schmuck John McCain is. He'll destroy anyone, if he's in the midst of one of his infamous rage explosions.

82. Let me just say, gotta give Hill was a team player here ...
for what it was ...

I imagine that the McCain camp was going to do EVERYTHING it could to get Palin next to Hill, knowing that Hill would be polite, and that they then could start ripping off ads about how Hill is buds with Palin, and try to get the news cycle back under control.

FLAT OUT why McCain threw a snit - and again, WOMEN involved - Mika, his dimwit Fiorina ...

Props for Hill seeing it, and ducking it - team play here.

If they play on his court--and serve as his useful idiot--he loves ya.

However, if you don't follow the script (like buying the wrong donuts or smiling
at him the wrong way), then you're the recipient of his freakish rage.

Can you imagine what it's like inside the McCain camp right now?

It got a lot of attention.

If she was the nominee he'd be lying and doing a dirty campaign still. He is not honorable.
Of course she wouldn't be as nice to him as she was in the primary.

Anyway-John McCain is a sexist. No that's not funny, he really is a sexist.

OK is Hillary sexist?

And did Hillary really give that as her reason or is that another thing McCain's group made up?

He's desperate. The polls are swinging back our way, he sees his bounce has topped off and his campaign went south yesterday. He's got an anger problem and I predict he'll be shooting more from the hip and really get in trouble for it. His "temperament problem" will ultimately be what sinks him.

He seems unable to control himself. And when he does control himself, you can

I clearly saw this when Scarborough and Mika interviewed him on "Morning Joe"

Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 12:41 PM by karynnj
HRC could have gone and represented the more nuanced less militant Obama position, assuring the Jewish leaders, that Israel has always been an ally, but asking that the rhetoric be toned down to allow real diplomacy and conversation - something never achieved when people are screaming slogans at each other. (The PM is a guest in our country as well).

The problem with Palin being there too is that HRC is not fully in control of the situation. You know Palin is there to make points, not peace. Palin whipping up a partisan crowd to a froth is great GOP TV, where HRC would either have to join in (Yuck) or look weak - Palin will have the crowd (even in NYC) if she demagogues. Appearing with her could be a disaster - if these are planning to turn it into an ugly militant circus. The problem is that the exit looks petty - if it's today the Senate is in session (there is an economic stimulus package under consideration. NYC will be extremely impacted by the financial crisis - maybe there's a planned vote or hearing that she can point to as "doing the job she was elected to". If fear of Palin's demagoguery is the cocernit can't be used before it happens. I don't envy HRC having had to make this decision.

Palin is sliding in the polls, and McCain needed to shore up her
credibility. What better way to increase her credibility--than to
be seen cavorting and being conversational with Hillary Clinton?

Even if they just exchanged pleasantries, the picture of Palin
and Hillary together--would be a VERY powerful picture that would
help Palin.

I think you're right--McCain really needed this right now, because

48. Palin thinks Iran is next to SheRan and HeRan.
But the funniest thing of this campaign is John McCain falling for the Puma bullshit and putting any old vagina on the ticket thinking it would capture Hillary's disgruntled supporters. Shows you how much intelligence he thinks women have.

The irony that the Puma "movement" (similar to how bowels move) will end up helping Obama makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. The Pumas fucked themselves and McCain all in one fell swoop of idiocy.

CLINTON: My understanding of the revolutionary guard in Iran is that it is promoting terrorism. It is manufacturing weapons that are used against our troops in Iraq. It is certainly the main agent of support for Hezbollah, Hamas and others, and in what we voted for today, we will have an opportunity to designate it as a terrorist organization, which gives us the options to be able to impose sanctions on the leaders.

57. I understand Politics are Politics but McCain is a soulless cur.
He's been trading on his long-standing friendships in Washington to get ahead in this election while burning bridges at a rapid clip. I would love for Hillary to say 'Enough is Enough' and tell McCain that he's used and insulted her for the last time.

I'm proud of Hillary for dropping out of that event. All of us are. And Palin isn't fit to kiss Hillary's feet, much less to share a stage with her.

It's as though he thinks that HRC is as dumb as people like Fiorina or Ferraro, or some of the "so-called" HRC supporters who are on his side. He's not another thing coming. That's why HRC was able to garner 18 million votes, for not being stupid.

Oh how I wish the Obama campaign would do this!

Biden has the foreign-policy cred to attend and also to comment with wise astute comments
that would showcase his foreign-policy skills and knowledge.

Palin would look even more bizarre.

Oh my!!! How I wish this would happen!!!

99. The only better idea would be to send Obama.
That would force McSame to show up himself to prove his uber-support for Israel.

On second thought that could be taken as too knee-jerk a reaction - but I haven't ruled it out entirely.

What about Bubba?

picture of McCain as a snake with puffy cheeks and a forked tongue sticking out of his mouth. And a little body with short short arms and a ghostlike complexion and humming bomb bomb Iran and saying we will have victory in Iraq even though we invaded that country illegally. John McCain is a very dangerous man and a threat to our country.

with Palin, so the republicans could use it against Hillary...as if to say; Hillary supports Palin kind of thing...

On edit; this is it I think;

"There must be something going on behind the scenes, that explains McCain's outrage at Hillary
not attending. Could it be that McCain desperately wants Palin to be seen mingling and being
friendly with Hillary Clinton--in order to give her credibility with those blue-collar, Hillary
voters that McCain wants to secure? "

McCain cannot take a shred of criticism.
He probably expected Hillary to sit back and say nothing.
But she is a true blue Dem and has done her duty for party and Obama.
Also, going after Hill like this just completely smacks of desperation.
I seriously think McCain is starting to lose it, literally.

98. Why would any politician attend the rally of some stoked up ethnic group drumming for war?
To stoke the flames of ethnic/religious hatred even higher?
What other reason could there be?

There's something really twisted and sick underlying the mess of middle-east hatreds, and it seems that both D and R politicians are in the thick of it.
