Axelrod: 'we're ghostwriting' for McCain
Posted September 16, 2008 6:18 PM
The Swamp

by John McCormick

BURBANK, Calif. - David Axelrod says he feels like he is hearing echoes sometimes when he listens to John McCain.

"I feel like we're ghostwriting for the McCain campaign right now," he said. "I think what that means is, they understand what we understand: that this is an election about change."

On a flight this afternoon from Denver to here, Axelrod said he is convinced that the recent renewed focus on economic issues in the campaign will benefit his client, Sen. Barack Obama.

Axelrod said he believes McCain will struggle to present himself as an agent of change.

"The problem is the suit doesn't fit," he said. "John McCain is a co-author of the policies of the last eight years."

5. John McCain = fraud
His entire campaign is a lie, and the only decent ideas that he espouses are the ones that they lifted from the Obama campaign. Must suck to be McCain.

6. This is pretty stunning.
I've never seen a slimier candidate than McCain in my lifetime. He has nothing to say, or if he does, he's like a automation, repeating the same line over and over and over again. He is blatantly ripping off Obama's campaign slogans and policies (Biden's, too). I'm glad Obama has called him on it, but it isn't stopping this sad, scary excuse for a human. I'm am so disgusted. This man doesn't have a shred of honor and I'm deeply offended every time I hear he is a 'good man' or a 'hero'. He is NOT a goddamned hero.

7. It's another trap
They're going to wait for McCain to steal, say, Obama's formal plan on how to deal with the financial crisis and then call McCain on it. It will be brutal. McCain will be exposed as the candidate with no ideas who needs to plagiarize EVERYTHING from his opponent.

At least, that's one possibility.

8. God, I'd love to see Obama do a TV ad with some kid parroting his words
And then a closing caption highlighting that parroting Obama's campaign themes doesn't make one an "agent of change."

what a wholly unoriginal and pathetic attempt to glom on.

McCain is an unskilled and out of place Grom on this Wave that Obama is riding.

and Barack's about to hit the Pipeline...

Eat Wake, Johnny!
