Rasmussen's numbers may represent reality or they may not, but our difficulty in accepting them doesn't figure into that question.

3. That's really depressing

I think Obama's getting good media coverage today. Hopefully that will help. I think his new ad will help too.

6. McCain should be at 48, not 49

It's a 1 point gap and McCain is trending downwards. Obama will probably pass him in both Rasmussen and Gallup in the next couple of days.

7. this is yesterday's poll, today it's a one-point difference, same as Gallup

matter of fact of the four tracking polls Obama leads by 4 in two of them and McCain leads by 1 in two of them. It's trending Obama's way.
