The claim that 3000 met Palin in Fairbanks is False - they "bussed' people in on her plane
I like how they SPIN the way she brought a planeload of people to Alaska, because I could tell that there weren't that many there. I watched the whole thing and they NEVER panned the room, or showed the view from the stage. And I know why.

I LIVED in that town, Fairbanks, AK, and I'm here to tell you that there was Practically NO ONE at her Welcoming Event. She specifically said in her speech there, "You're seeing a lot of NEW people here, and they may look kind of lost, but I told them, we'll tell them where to go, show them the north star.." (paraphrasing)

I could tell from the TIGHT camera shots that the crowd was extremely small. A trick that Repigs started using with Reagan, the camera would pull away and you'd see a little bunch of people waving flads like crazy, and a BIG OPEN SPACE around them.. Camera tricks. The same thing was employed for her return.

Fairbanks has Few TRUE Republicans, Everyone up there is Libertarian, Independent or just plain doesn't buy the bullshit. So even if ALL the repigs showed up to welcome her back, there really wouldn't be that many. I don't know the population there at the moment, probably hovers around 30,000 people.. but I'd be willing to be there were at the most a couple of hundred there, including the crowd she brought with to MAKE SURE she didn't look like a total loser.

And the media complied, kept up the pretense, and of course even if they'd told us how many were there, there would be no reason to believe them anyway.

I've seen big crowds there, played guitar in front of tens of thousands at the Solstice party they had each year, and I can tell you in all honesty that there was virtually NO ONE there to meet the Pork Barrel Palin The Pig... :)

1. Of course it was a bullshit propaganda piece.
Did you see the picture of her getting off the plane to a "crowd" of people. Even in Alaska there is security measures for airports. There is no way TSA would allow a bunch of people to roam around the tarmac of an airport even it it was a "celebrity".

2. That's another point
that's an International Airport, known as the "Crossroads of the World" because planes from ALL OVER the Planet land there, the shortest distance between many countries and ports.. they acted like it was the Beatles landing in '68 :)

Again, what crowd? There weren't any people there to speak of.. CNN LIED about the crowd the other day, saying there were like 25,000 people that and the crowd photos showed it was obviously bullshit.

The most POPULAR Govenor in the US can't draw a crowd in the Second Largest city of the state AFTER she's been named a VEEP candidate?

She's a FRAUD, and so is the MEdia.

thanks for chiming in :)

3. 25,000? Alaska doesn't even have a venue for that many people.
Total bullshit story to prop up her myth that "Alaskans love their Gov".

6. 30,000 population of Fairbanks?
That must be disappointing news to the other 50,000 people who live there.

7. 30 K when I lived there
and I said I don't know how many live there now, and I don't Count the military either, or did they turn out?

If it's 80K then that just makes the turnout even SMALLER per capita that want anything to do with this loser, now doesn't it? :)
