Lipstickgate: Complete failure!
Desperation breeds contempt--anonymous

Looks like lipstickgate has backfired on the McCain camp. From what I've read and heard all day, the media (even Joe Scar was ragging on it--go figure:eyes: ) sees this for what it really is: lies and desperation. So I'm guessing by tomorrow, it will be just a "smudge" --pun intended--in the news cycle. But there will be more...

So hang on to your hats, tighten up those seatbelts, cause we now officially have GAME ON!

1. Are McCain and Palin now discussing the real issues facing America?
The economy, the war, healthcare, education...?

Then it worked. It did what it was supposed to do.

It's just one more distraction in a long line of distractions. As long as they can keep people's minds off of the real issues, their distractions are working.

2. No, they didn't discuss the issues because they have none...

that much is very clear and the public knows it. Also, each time they pull one of these stupid, idiotic tirades, the American people show more of :wow: factor.

5. You make a good point, there...
The Obama campaign needs to make sure the people know that all of these things that the McCain camp is putting out there are nothing more than distractions.

Then, everytime a new bunch of pointless bullshit like this pops up, Obama can say "There you go again."

I seem to remember Reagan using that line on Carter in the 1980 campaign, and it was devastating.

4. Two "independents" asked me about it at work today....
If we don't get out in front of it, it WILL work,
because one of the guys told me..."I thought he
was ABOVE it all, and now he's being as dirty
as the republicans"

He did NOT formulate this thought by himself,
this is how they are manipulating it.

Obama must NOT apologize, but he MUST counter
without "getting dirty".

He had always surprised me by being
smarter and savvier than any politician
in his responses.

I don't doubt he will correct the media perception.

7. O for God's sake
What a double standard! Why does no one say that about the republicans? Kerry stayed above it all and he lost.

It's as if they were the first ones to get dirty and so now they are the only ones allowed to be!
