I'll say it again: NEVER apologize to the Rethug bullies.
I know, I'm backseat-driving for the Obama campaign.

But one thing I think needs to be said, now that Obama and McCain are trading barbs fiercely.

DO NOT APOLOGIZE.

No matter how offensive the remark. No matter what you say. No matter how it's interpreted. Never apologize.

The Rethugs are bullies. They use apologies as a ritual humiliation. Don't let 'em do it.

Apologies are seen as weakness. Bullies pounce on apologies to kick you while you're down. They'll trumpet it all over the fascist media and rub our noses in our apology.

Better to give them the middle finger and watch them screech some more. At least that way you're standing up to them.

2. I'm reminded of Rep. Stark's incident.
He flat out called Bush a liar, then Pelosi forced him to apologize.

What a humiliating crock of shit that was. He should have just ate the censure and the loss of committee seats and gave the House the middle finger.

3. I'm riding in that backseat right there with ya...
Where is the apology for the vicious slander committed against community organizers at the repuke convention?

No, Obama, don't apologize. Instead, repeat what you said and and drive the point home.

4. I totally agree.
As soon as they apologize, they look weak. It's a fatal mistake. Especially when you have no reason to apologize.

7. Definitely. And defiance is seen as strength.
If the rethugs demand an apology and screech all over the cable news shows and right wing hate radio, Obama gets cool points if he tells them to fuck themselves.

10. The mountains can fall into the sea and the stars from the sky
They can stomp their feet and cry foul to the media until they throw themselves in the floor and the cre turns out the lights. The media can demand on their behalf and get tough. We won't shut out or disrespect the media but no giving on this and keep pressing it.

but NEVER APOLOGIZE and NEVER EXPLAIN. Demand an apology to the American people for the failed policies of the Republicans that McCain is trying to rehash.

22. Kerry did the right thing, first. Then he caved.
(when they attacked him on the "get stuck in Iraq" remark) and they are doing the exact same thing to Obama. He better not cave.
