POOL REPORT: Obama Visits Hydro Power Plant

Barack Obama toured Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation, which manufactures turbines, plant before an economic forum here in York, Pa.

Wearing safety goggles, Obama arrived on the factory flanked by CEO and president E. Mark Garner and executive vice president Frank Daley. Also in attendance: US Sen. Bob Casey and York Mayor John Brenner, who were both early supporters

Obama walked through the entire factory floor, stopping every dozen feet or so to talk with workers or inspect a piece of equipment.

Unfortunately, the press was kept at a distance, and literally nothing could be heard from my vantage point.

Fortunately, the boom mike picked up audio, so I attached the TV pool report below, which is more comprehensive than anything I could offer, given my distance from Obama.
