Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 10:20 AM by rateyes
McCain:

McCain graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958, placing 894th out of a graduating class of 899. Got in because he was a legacy student.

Palin:

Palin attended Hawaii Pacific College in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1982 for a semester, where she majored in Business Administration, and transferred in 1983 to North Idaho College for the 1983-1984 school year. After transferring again in 1984, Palin received a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism from the University of Idaho in 1987, where she also minored in political science.

Obama:

After the high school years, Barack Obama studied for 2 years at Occidental College, before transferring to Columbia College - an undergraduate division of Columbia University. There he majored in political science, with a specialization in international relations. Upon graduation in 1983, Obama worked for 1 year at Business International Corporation before he moved to Chicago to a job with a non-profit organization and local churches organizing job training programs for residents of poor neighborhoods.

After having finished this job Obama then left Chicago for 3 years to study at Harvard Law School. During his stay here he was elected president of the Harvard Law Review. In 1991 - he obtained his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude. On returning to Chicago, Obama supported a voter registration drive, then worked for the civil rights law firm Miner, Barnhill and Galland. From 1993 and until his federal election he taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.

Biden:

Biden graduated in 1965 from the University of Delaware in Newark where he double-majored in history and political science. He went on to receive his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1968, and was admitted to the Delaware Bar in 1969.

1. Schooling doesn't matter that much. Education does. Lawyers aren't always better.

3. oh please. where do you think most people get an education?
I believe the rigors of professional training do count for something. And Roosevelt and Truman grew up and were educated in a different time and a different environment.

6. I'm sorry, I'm tired of education being discounted.
Maybe higher education isn't for everyone, but it IS for our national leaders.

7. I'm NOT discounting schooling. I've got four degrees, three graduate. nt
But 100 times zero is still zero. Harvard has also produced John Roberts. It's a crapshoot.
