1. Cheney is a hearbeat away from the Presidency. Palin is a heartbeat away from embarrassment.

2. Cheney may be a heartbeat away...

but it has to be heartbeat, not brain activity (or he would have been President long ago)...

But, whoever gets named VEEP should Cheney assume the office in addition to the duties that he already has... that person would not be a heartbeat from the Presidency... since Cheney doesn't really have a heartbeat, or a heart for that matter.
