Whitman on Palin: "Is anybody prepared to be president?"
Damning Palin....

...with faint praise just now was former New Jersey Governor Christie Todd Whitman, who was asked on MSNBC whether Palin is ready to be president:

"That's hard to say about anybody," Whitman replied. "Is anybody prepared to be president?"

This, you may recall, was basically the line Bill Clinton used about Barack Obama recently, stirring outrage and condemnation,

1. Well, hell, lets just scrap the whole expensive, time-consuming, process then...
...and just draw a name out of a hat. I mean, if everyone is similarly unprepared to be President, it really doesn't matter who we choose, does it?

2. Whitman was painful to watch. Trying too hard to defend the choice of Sarah the Baracuda
the radical Christian right winger.
