Re Troopergate - I wish Randi was not defending the bro-in-law
I have no problem going after Sarah for abuse of power, but all the stuff I've read indicate that this brother-in-law (Mike Wooten) was quite slimy.

I just think the whole clan is one big slimy mess.

1. Although from what I heard yesterday, Mike Wooten's badness
has partly been invented by the Palins (don't know what's really true, but they seem capable of making stuff up).

2. Of course,
people make up all kinds of things during a custody battle. None of these allegations ever surfaced before they got divorced. Only after they get divorced do all these awful allegations come out aginst the state trooper guy.

9. Apprently the death threat to Molly/Sarah's dad
happened because Molly accused Mike of, essentially, seeing another woman.

Funny thing, though -- if you look at the timeline of divorces, you see that Molly files for divorce on 4/11/05 (also at that time Molly files a stalking complaint against one "Angela Johnson", but it's denied; plus some domestic violence complaints against Mike); the divorce is contested but finally granted 1/31/06. Then, just a couple weeks later, Angela Johnson files for divorce from her husband, on 2/24/06.

Hmmmm, seems to me Molly might have known what was going on, and Mike got mad when she accused him of having an affair (which he apparently was), which was when he threatened her father.

Then all the Troopergate stuff happens, and it's all finally capped off with a divorce of Angela and Mike (6/6/07 - so apparently they got married sometime soon after both of their divorces).

I'm thinking Troopergate had a lot to do with not only getting back at Mike, but also Angela - as his current wife, she'd probably suffer more from his lack of income than Molly would from the lack of child support (especially with a newly-elected Governor in the family)

Like I said, messed up family.

11. Careful on the tasering issue
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 07:26 PM by Az
Many people hear this and assume he tasered the kid as a form of punishment. This is not the case. The kid was asking about tasers and wanted to be tasered to see what it felt like. Stupid to have done this for the kid sure. But no where near the sleazeball people are trying to make him out to be.

5. Issue is abuse of power pattern, and her many such stunts.
We don't have to reach for the red meat on this.

13. She fired the chief safety officer
because he wouldn't fire the bil. I hate that the media can't get the story right.
