Went to my sister-in-laws family home for a picnic yesterday. Palin was not even mentioned by anyone. My extended family runs the scale from a New York quasi-commie to redneck jew-hating "christian" truck drivers, to an Episcopal Deacon and they were all there. The only political talk was the usual republican no-brainer bullshit - the dems will increase taxes and take my guns. ( I have the most guns, and I'm not worried.) Nothing anti-Obama, just the general antidemocrat stuff. These folks would never consider voting for a Democrat any more than I would consider voting for a republican; they don't need reasons, it's just the way things are.
I doubt Palin will make very much difference or change many minds except for maybe a few fence sitters, and who knows if they will make a difference.
We MUST generate enough Democratic votes to win this one decisively.
