My sister works at the hotel where McCain is staying tonight.

I just talked to her and she was told by her boss that McCain was staying in the hotel. They were also told that the male staff would be treated with more respect and receive higher gratuities from McCain's rooms than female staff.

I get the McCain is an ass, and expect that kind of behavior from him, but for it to be so open that establishments tell their employees. :wtf:

inequality of gratuities and complain to the EEOC. And call the local press. Make a big public deal of it.

She might lose her job over this, but hopefully she will be willing to take the chance.

I wish she was more informed about her rights, and I tell her as much as possible. She's from a very very small town and she would never jeopardize her job.

I don't know if she is still at work or out blowing off some steam.

I'm really going to try to talk to her about this. She's 21 years old and really didn't get the best education. The school pretty much put her through her classes because she was a star varsity athlete in 2 sports. It really makes me sad because I got such a great education and they did her such a disservice. She even got a sports scholarship to a local college but failed out of school because she just didn't have the basic foundation of a good education. I hope that she will listen to me, but she may not really understand the implications of this.

I'm going to keep trying to phone her all weekend, though. I really want to know more.
