Palin--where had I heard that voice before? Oh, yes (oh, no!)
I heard her before I saw her. I just got in to Dallas from Denver, and had to drive
right to the office and then on to the dentist (don't ask! yecch!), so I heard her
on NPR, to which my friends' car is set.

Next time she is on TV, just listen to the tone of her voice, how she expresses things.
Forget what she looks like, listen to that voice........where had I heard that voice
before? It had been a while. Then it hit me. Slightly nasal, superior, privileged....

To me, she sounds just like..............

(post if you think her voice sounds like some other woman whose voice we have come
to cringe at--not Hillary, so don't even start LOL--, and I'll post my impression
later on, in case I'm all alone here)

3. I thought of Lieberman. I remember thinking when we lost in 2000 "At least
I don't have to listen to Lieberman talk any more."

Palin's voice has that same 'fingernails on a chalkboard' quality.

7. Minnie, from Cars (the movie)

Voiced by Edie McClurg, who also played Lucille, Herb Tarlek's wife in WKRP in Cincinnati ("Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh!"), and Grace the school secretary in Ferris Beuller.

SERIOUS midwestern accent.
