McCain's First Victory - at least here on DU
So I log in today to bathe in the glory of Obama's success last night. To wallow in the feeling of fellowship and pride of my fellow DU'ers. What do I find? Nada!! It's Palin this. Palin that. Palin, Palin, Palin ...

So well done John McCain. He's played us and the media like a stradivarius.

If you can get DU'ers so easily distracted from the glory that was the Dem convention last night, I can't wait to turn on the tv and see how much coverage Obama's speech is getting there - Let me guess before I pick up the remote - zip, zilch, none - right?

Personally, I don't give a flying fuck who he picked as veep. The sheeple that would vote because of Palin were not going to vote for Obama under any circumstances. So do you all have to post your own personal opinions of his choice? Couldn't you just tag it onto another's post?

7. Oddly. At least herre on DU, I'd have thought this was...
supposed to be Obama's 'spotlight' moment. It was definately supposed to be his day in the media spotlight, and there McCain has succeeded. I am calm dear, just disgusted and somewhat bemused.

8. How ridiculous... of course she will be discussed...
:eyes:

This is an election and we want to know what's going on... inside and out of both campaigns.

Omaba has been talked about every day, all day, including today.

9. Noticed the same
thing, here and in the media. Obama gives a great speech last night and it gets very little coverage today. Palin may or may not wind up being a terrible pick but so far the GOP has won the day with their timing.

10. To me, this is icing on the cake, and proof of Obama's victory last night
It's like I came in this morning still glowing from last night, and then I get this handed to me as well: The biggest Hail Mary pass in history.

I'm electrified by Obama's speech last night, and I'm elated at McCain's desparation.

Two freaking great tastes that taste great together.

I feel like anything is possible now. I haven't been this optimistic since Obama carried Iowa.
