I just woke up 20 minutes ago to learn of McCain's VP pick

OMFG! What a transparent decision! My immediate reaction was a laugh then the obvious thought "He's trying to get the women's vote---any stragglers who are disenchanted that Hillary didn't win." I'm watching CNN and they're acting stunned and finding it hard to comment on this pick. Fox is trying to make the best of a bad situation, working themselves up to some iota of enthusiasm.

Of course, anyone with a brain will be wondering, if something were to happen to McCain (if he were to win in November, which seems even MORE unlikely now) is Palin ready to be President?
