Poll question: Rate the 2008 Democratic Convention!
I'll give it an "A". Warner speech was a bit of a weak link, but all the important moments and speeches were grand slam home runs. Particularly the role played by the Clintons, both in their excellent speeches and the roll call.

I could hardly imagine it going off better.

Whoever wrote Bill Clinton's speech did an outstanding job. Not only did he deliver it well, but it was organized and written very well, divided between economic and domestic policy.

I thought the biographical video introducing Obama was critical to introduce the man to so many Americans with little or no familiarity with his story, and was handled very well, although I'm somewhat sorry they glossed over his childhood and adolescence in Hawaii and years at Columbia, Harvard, and U. of Chicago, although I suppose that was the "fancy pants elite school" part that they feel Joe Average voter wouldn't relate to, in favor of the Kansas/Rosie Riveter stuff.

I'm very relieved and gratified, and feeling good about the next couple of months.

Donations page is down so I suppose it'll have to wait until the morning.

Cheers!

4. Not ready to do that just yet
Probably not until the election is over.

5. I don't care for your Monday morning quarterbacking
Just give your praise or critique now, it won't mean a thing on November 5th.

6. Well going down the list of objectives
Re-introduce Barack Obama, check

Unite the party, check

Make Obama/Biden look like a strong team, check

Adequately attack John McCain, ?

Mark Warner's Keynote, ?

Those are the two aspects that I just don't know about because I don't know exactly what the campaign's objectives were in those regards. Most people found Mark Warner's speech incredibly boring but maybe the entire point was to show a non-threatening, boring, moderate, white guy speaking on Obama's behalf.

These are the things that we don't know about until after the campaigns are over and the journalists and authors are free to share their inside information that they were given on the condition that they keep it secret until the end of the election.

8. The best I have seen, and I started watching when Nixon was VP.
Have to tell you, though, this is the first one I have seen in several decades.
I alternated between a direct feed and MSNBC - I stopped by CNN for a few minutes and they were so Republican-biased, I could not watch them.

I think I am going to boycott CNN forever, or at least till they become more fair.
