Interesting--the Republicans are still clinging to this whole "Greek Temple" thing...
...and really, once it was completely constructed, I can't see how ANYONE could mistake that stage for a Greek Temple. Even people who are completely biased and unfair.

A couple of pillars do not a Greek Temple make.

14. Actually I thought it played well
it was modern enough without being too contemporary for thou, and it had the columns which grounded it.

It was certainly not over the top, nor did it smack of a coronation.

Sorry, but I would love someone smarter than me who knows how to posts pics on DU will find the picture of the St. Paul podium. The podium is a big American flag with the floor of the podium where they stand to give speeches being the red and white strips. McCain will accept his parties nomination with his $500 Ferragamo shoe soles on the flag of our nation.
