The Clintons have delivered the election for Obama
Reason to be proud.
Obama is great. He stands on the shoulders of giants.

2. Let's not go too far.
Obama and his team have worked their own asses off to get this far. This may help put him over the top, and will without a doubt help a LOT. Bill's speech was just freaking amazing. But I have to quibble with your choice of words, "delivered the election."

But Gore did not use Bill. Bill was ill and could not fully get out there for Kerry.
Gore and Kerry are/were great. But the Clintons are pros in this business. With them at his side Obama can win and win big.

Bill laid out the reasons why is a compelling way.

"Bill explains it all to you" - as it were.

Kerry on right now-doing GREAT.

Great dem evening tonight. And Biden still to come.

If anyone can still argue that they supported Hillary but won't vote for Obama, they're insane.

5. I have wantd Barack Obama to be president since October 2, 2002
That was the day I first heard him speak.

My first donation to his campaign was the day he announced.

Bill and Hillary passed the torch to Barack Obama tonight.

and the blogs have identified for us a group of new party leaders, like Obama, Dean, Jon Tester and many others.

6. They have helped deliver the election for Obama. Obama will be the prime reason for his ultimate
win. That is not to take away from Hillary and Bill, but nobody can deliver an election for somebody else. Obama will win this because of who he is and what he has to offer.

Really, allow the nominee to have his own place on the stage. The stage no longer belongs to the Clinton's. They showed tonight and last night they recognize it. You could stand to do the same.

The primaries are over. It's Obama's time, his success does not depend on the Clintons and I have grown really tired of you and your many insinuations that his success does somehow revolve around the Clintons.

He beat them, all 3 of them, it's HIS time. If you can't deal with it then perhaps you should go back to that "other forum".

Let it friggin go already.

to acquire much respect for your abusive style of posting and presenting your "opinions'.

(I don't think repeatedly posting demeaning pictures of great dems earns much respect. Nor engaging in provocative slanders as to the character and worth of great dem candidates)

And I don't know why you keep kicking this rather lame thread - started in the excitement of seeing Bill back on his game and wholethroatedly supporting the ticket. It was a great reminder of him at his best.

With the unequivocal support of Hillary and Bill, the Obama and Biden team can head into the election with the wind at their back. They did their part these last two nights. They came through. As,of course, anyone who has paid attention to politics over time knew they would - being who they are.

and double check which of us got abusive first. I believe you, as usual, came out of the gate with insults like: Get over your sanctimonious and divisive self for one convention.

And I agree, the thread is lame - the Clintons did not give this election to Obama and I am not the only poster that has issue with your divisive choice of wording.

I never argued that they didnt come through, I didnt argue that they didnt bring unity to the party, but I will strongly argue that they didnt deliver this election to Obama.

And I would challenge you to defend some of the actions of the Clintons during the primary, I dont believe many of their actions showed great character or worth.

What's important to me is I have forgiven them for the primary nonsense and love them now just as much as I did prior to the primaries...it still doesnt mean the Clintons can give him the election. As many on this thread have stated, it's Obama's to win or lose, not the Clintons.

I moved on, I have praised them quite a bit over the past two days. Maybe you can try moving on as well.

10. Obama will win or lose the election on his own.
I've thought that from the time it was inevitable that he was going to be our nominee.

The Clinton saga was just a media distraction.

Obama can win this on his own, and he will.

But it does help to have some good friends (the Clintons, Kerry, Dean, Kucinich, etc.....we are truly blessed)

But speeches made by other people don't make or break a candidates' chances. In the end, it will be what Obama says or does that will win him the White House.

21. Obama will win on his own merits. Why coulnd't the Clintons 'deliver' the election to themselves?
ridiculous meme we're going to have to suffer with forever. by the good grace and justice of the clintons' Obama will be allowed to become president.

that's condescending and just on the edge of another word. Obama beat Clinton ass, 3 clinton asses, and handily. It's nice that they say some good thing s about him, finally, but what else can they do? Obama does not need them as much as they want you to believe. He didn't get this far by being a creampuff.
