Michelle Obama and Family Pack Care Boxes for Soldiers
Today is Delegate Service Day at the convention. Michelle, her daughters and mother were up bright and early assembling care packages, including handwritten notes, for our soldiers overseas.

I wonder if the RNC will incorporate a Delegate Service Day? I won't hold my breath.

6. Thanks. Hard not to love this family.
I found these pictures extremely touching.

Adding handwritten notes...

Getting the children involved...

It's just beautiful.

12. Thanks!
They really are a great family, aren't they?

I specifically love how she's reading over the message in that second pick. She wanted to make sure she said the right thing. So touching.

5. K&R & SHAME ON BUSH!!!!
I never could understand why they didn't encourage Americans to send stuff over there. Most people don't know, those flat-rate boxes are only $9 to send to any APO military address. My family has sent several of then, it's very easy and the stuff they ask for is like, just cheap stuff! Vaseline, Crystal Light (their water is nasty-tasting) energy bars and the like.

11. If you need an address, look on anysoldier.com
They post what they need and you email for the APO.

8. Wouldn't she look a bit foolish - Cindy McCain...
with her 7 houses, Budweiser and her $300,000 a month credit card purchases - sending these little boxes to soldiers?

10. Yikes! And can you imagine what she'd send?
What she considers "essential"?

-Percocet
-Botox
-Trim-spa
-A domestic servant

14. Marvelous. Meanwhile, down here in Highlands Ranch, they're
collecting tens of thousands of dollars for a freaking monument.

Monuments are all well and good. But when we have military families losing their homes, the money could be MUCH better spent.
