Hillary Clinton, Lioness of the Senate
Wherever Hillary's career in public service ultimately leads her, the Senate is soon to lose it's great Lion. After his presidential run, freed of the concerns of immediate politics, Ted became the roaring champion of the causes he believed in: None more so than Universal Health care.

In her next term four years in the Senate, no one has more right to champion her causes, than Hillary She's earned it. I am reminded that Hill is not a natural politician, not a people purpose who thrives on applause. She has work hard and long to achieve the gravitas and charisma she showed tonight. Her core beliefs are consistent, even if her presentation has not been.

I doubt I shall forgive Mark Penn for his poll driven, 'play it safe' campaign which crippled Hillary throughout 2007, a "strategy" that culminated in not taking questions in Iowa. Penn has been on board for a long time, no doubt bringing in the concerns of his corporate clients as well. The architect of triangulation, he is a cancer in the soul of American politics.

I wish Senator Clinton well. She has not found her voice, she knows who she is, but Her voice needs to he heard loud and clear in the months and years to come. And if I never hear from Mark Penn again, it won't be a moment too soon.

1. "Her voice needs to he heard loud and clear"
I agree. I don't know anything about Penn, but there was this feeling during the primaries that she was trying to figure out who she was supposed to be when all along her best bet was in being herself. But the good news is I think she's found that, and we are going to see more and more of her acting independantly, like Gore has done.

2. Penn moved into the Clinton group in 1995 and has been advising
them ever sinse. He as the head 'Chief Strategist' of Hillary's campaign. This mantra is, win over target groups, don't get others offside.
