Not perfect but no one is. I had other preferences but Joe is fine with me.

Not only do I think he has a great story-not all happy happy by any measure but a good story-people are going to connect with him.Yeah he shoots from the hip but hey aren't we repeatedly told how tired everyone is of "feel your pain" phonie politicians (complete frauds like W are okay though I guess) okay let Joe fired off a few and watch the press have a fit about it while everyone else laughs at them. Joe brings a great "regular guy" aspect and his impeccable clothing will sit well with anyone who wears a suit or just a tie on a daily basis. This is a lot of image and superficial stuff but that is 80% of the discourse these days (thanks to the RNC-lead MSM).

On issues I don't agree with him on some things and he was WRONG about the war (needs to apologize if he hasn't already) but one thing he will do is calm nerves of the sponsors of our representatives inside the castle walls(DC) and that will go a long way.

Okay Obama/Biden lets get going.

1. My reaction to Biden is a shrug.
And that in itself is disappointing. I've never seen a VP choice deliver votes, so why pick someone so unsurprising? The idea that a VP will "help govern" is laughable. I still think it would have been better to choose someone who would have brought a lot of attention and excitement. That's about the only thing a VP choice is good for anyway.

2. Since Gore the VP *has* become a vital part/tool for the POTUS
Anyone who thinks this started with Cheney is wrong.

4. So Joe Biden's Wealth of Experince
and knowledge is not a plus? That's odd, because when Dimson brought in Darth, it most certainly did help Bush for those concerned about his lack of foreign experience.

Al Gore would disagree with your assesment of the job of VP.

The only real laughable VP pick Dan Quayle - Joe Biden is no Dan Quayle.

3. He has apologized for the IWR
and quicker than HRC, IIRC.
