Who Knew Beer Distributorships Paid Off So Well?
I know that you can do well with them, but 7 highly expensive properties well?

Teresa Heinz Kerry's money is because of Ketchup. I get that. Every home and restaurant buys ketchup. Totally get that.

But one beer distributorship?

3. Selling beer is a family value.
Because we all know what wholesome effects booze tends to have on family relationships, right?

I wonder if John and Cindy ever watch "Cops?"

10. Are you suggesting that the Democratic Party make it
a plank in the platform to outlaw the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages? Now that would be a winning position! At least we would get the MADD vote.

11. Nope, not at all.

I enjoy a cold one myself from time to time.

I'm just suggesting that you'd think such "wholesome" people would find a product to peddle with less potential baggage attached. If crack were legal, would they be peddling that, too?

Hint: The answer is yes.

"If crack were legal, would they be peddling that, too?

How do we know they aren't already? Iran-Contra, anyone?

13. Out here in AZ, drinking shitty beer is the norm.
I can't tell you how many times I've been to parties where the only brew in a keg is Bud Light, the same beer that people throw out the window when passing by the nearest national park.

I don't drink that flavored piss water, so I guess I must be an elitist.

16. All liquor distributorships do well.
For the most part it's a state-sanctioned monopoly. And the restaurants, bars, and liquor stores you're selling to usually are required to pay cash, which usually means a check which had better clear the first time around. No thirty-sixty-ninety-day pay plan. The mark-up is guaranteed. You, the distributor, aren't the one paying for advertising. You're just selling the stuff to the willing consumer.

Many, probably most liquor distributorships are privately owned, and the persons or families that own them do quite well, thank you.
