4. Ayers seems pretty rehabilitated to me. Let's move on to the next topic.
Obama maybe should/maybe shouldn't bother slapping 'em down on that one.

21. Don't Know What Show You Are Watching
It seems that the first 5 min in the 5:00 hour (Texas time) was devoted to McCain's not being able to remember the number of houses he owns.

9. National Review is trying to get some documents released
http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/08/21/obamas-ties-to-ayers-come-up-again/

I think Obama should agree to help get them released, if McCain agrees to release all his military and medical records.

14. Another fake controversy
Some right-wing "reporter" wants to go through the records from the foundation board Obama served on with Ayers. They are whining because the library that has the records isn't providing them as fast as they want them to. What do they think could be in there? As far as I have read, the foundation basically gave money to various educational projects. Scary!

18. the ALLEGED coverup relates to papers re: Chicago Annenberg Challenge
.... which are stored at the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where Ayers is a professor. The Library is refusing to release the files until it gets permission from relevant stakeholders.

See http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2008/08/21/obamas-ties-to-ayers-come-up-again/?mod=homeblogmod_washingtonwire for the basic "story."

20. They might be talking about this (link):
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/2008/08/barack_obama_records_sealed_at.html

The University of Illinois has refused to release records related to Sen. Barack Obama's service for a nonprofit educational project that put him in contact with activist William Ayers, a 1960s-era radical and now education professor.

The university's Chicago campus maintains that the donor of the records that document the work of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge has not handed over ownership rights. The university says it is "aggressively pursuing" an agreement with the donor, and as soon as an agreement is reached, the collection will be made accessible to the public. The university has not identified the donor.

The Obama campaign says the senator does not have control over these records or the ability to release them, adding that it has made many documents related to Obama's life available to the public and that "we are pleased the university is pursuing an agreement that would make these records publicly available."

The National Review this week posted an article online saying that the institution had initially deemed the records open to inspection, but that the university subsequently reversed its position. Tuesday, the university said that there had been a misunderstanding.
