Says that Biden makes the most sense.

1. Might or might not. I have to say kudos to Obama. He surely showed people how the media
can talk without knowing anything.

2. I say he's wrong on both counts.
The media wants this out so they can spin it. Alter is obviously better than many of them, but he's still corporate media, and he's still looking out for his own interest here.

Saving this announcement for Friday is strategically perfect, because it kills any chance of Rove and the reich wingers getting a spin on it for two weeks. (Because of our convention and then theirs)

And even after that, by then the names on the tickets (both) will be old news, and you'll have nothing left but two solid months of GE mudslinging.

3. So basically he's just guessing. Gee, can I be a pundit too?

5. The problem is that now we don't want to step on the houses story.
After Obama's town hall this afternoon in Virginia, I think the announcement could come anytime - Thursday evening - Saturday's rally in Springfield.

7. I agree. I expect the announcement today by 5 PM
just in time for the evening news, Tweety, KO, etc. etc.

8. What time is Obama's town meeting in VA?
I'm thinking (and I have no creds at all in this area) that they would want to announce it before the evening news so it could dominate.

If the rally ends too late, I'm thinking tomorrow.

6. Yeah, he just might! And then, again... maybe not.
And Biden might make the most sense to Alter, but the VP will be the one who makes the most sense to Obama.
