I no longer think Biden will get the call
With the focus of MSM being squarely on Biden for the past 48 hours, the Obama camp has shown no signs of a rush to announce the VP choice. Realistically why would the Obama camp delay the announcement until Thursday or Friday to tell that Biden is the VP?

The same thing can be said pretty much about the other two frontrunners. Bayh and Kaine.

IMO a delayed announcement pretty much favours the so called "Mystery Person". I believe we all know who the "Mystery Person" is!

24. It's a shame he doesn't have a higher profile
He's a little bit like progressive talk show radio host Ed Schultz. He's authentic, connects easily with people, only VP candidate whose normal dress includes jeans and a bola tie, lived in the Middle East, speaks Arabic, worked for the USDA, understands farm policy, is considered a leader on energy policy (the topic he'll speak on at the Convention), a pragmatist, and can give and take with the best. His primary negatives: virtually unknown at the national level, takes what some Democrats would be considered conservative positions, will not fill the "deep foreign policy" experience some are looking for, and is not a great orator (although he'd be great in debates and on the campaign trail). If given a chance, the first reaction by many would be "Who?" and "Why?" But in my view it wouldn't take long to see why. He might turn off some liberal Democrats, but I think he'd really appeal to the blue collar Dems, independents, and even moderate Republicans (particularly in battle ground states)that Obama has yet to win over.

12. Until today. But the subterfuge isn't working anymore.
I give a lot of credit to Axelrod and Obama. They kept McCain guessing. It's too late for him to nominate Kay Bailey Hutchinson or Condi Rice now to trump Hillary. It would look too copycatty.

They kept everyone off trail (except me LOL). All that "he" and "guy" stuff, all that "Bill is mad" stuff.

Fooled them and fooled them good.

Unity in Denver. And you will be happy, too.

17. No one is more exposed on this than me at the DU.
I've walked the plank and upset a lot of my fellow Obama supporters who stood together here all year long.

I fully know how just crazy I sounded when I went "Hillary for VP" last month, but guess what: I look a lot less crazy today, don't I?

Why? Because I want Obama to win and she gets him into the White House. I just hope she doesn't turn it down.

She unites the party which Obama hasn't still quite done. She helps him precisely in the states he needs, where the electoral votes are not favoring us right now.

Don't count the teeth of the gift horse.

18. I have resolved to be happy with any dem.
You may be right. But "I look a lot less crazy today, don't I?"?

All I heard on a run through of the MSM today was Hillary Mania, particularly from Pat Buchannon. And "less crazy" don't hang with Ol' Patty B, if ya know what I'm sayin.

Gift horses are all well and good. But at some point you have to count the teeth and kick the tires, if only to decide whether they are suitable for the field, the track, or the glue factory. Cause at the end of the day the horse is less important than making sure the family has food to eat.(Ya like all the mixed metaphors? I'm in a mood.)

21. Hope she doesn't turn him down? Is that going to be the latest Clinton spin?
What a joke.

That is one ticket that would make McCain look like a maverick in comparison and would send independents running to McCain in droves (and disillusioned Republicans back to the Republican fold).

20. I think the Obama camp prides itself on not reacting to every new obsession of the media.
Slow and steady wins the race appears to be their motto.

They've planned an elaborate rollout, including (probably) a Friday text message, a Saturday event in Springfield, and a joint tour Saturday and Sunday. They're not going to be turned away from that by media hype.

I still think the VP is going to be Biden, Bayh, or Kaine.
