Abrams & Fineman saying it's Biden.
He talked to other VP contenders who thought it was going to be Biden - saying O is
looking for a seasoned person.

Also, Biden is updating all his Foreign Relations Committee contact list today (fundraising?)

Fineman - Biden.

1. Lynn Sweet is interesting tonight - with the "head vs. heart" thing...

Kaine from the heart ~ Biden from the head.

6. Exactly. How about if Kaine is Chief of Staff? Confidante?

14. Well, I tell this story over and over - but about Richardson -
when he endorsed him -- he told a story about "why I like him so much".

It was at a debate. Bill complained that he was never called on. So finally, he was, and answered.
Then he stopped paying attention - and the very next question was for him. He was at a loss and looked
at Obama and Obama whispered, "Katrina, Talk about Katrina."

I see no down side to Bill - he could insure NM and maybe pick up a couple western states.

9. Yep. I'm behind the curve. How about this one - Abrams just
said O was just asked about VP and said "He" 4 times. And not talking about Cheney

8. I haven't been here today
but it's kind of funny that people on DU are calling Joe Biden's "I'm not the guy!" a gaffe, while refusing to believe other people who claim that they aren't being vetted/or attending the convention, and that it's all just a BRILLIANT ruse to get people to believe that that person ISN'T the VP, when he really IS! Is it just me? People here are really taking the "I'm not the guy" thing that seriously?

11. no, you are right. Actually there's a post that Biden has already
backed away from the comment.

You know, even if he doesn't pick O, I bet it feels wonderful to him to be
getting all this attention. After all the years and years of service.

10. But what about this....
Kaine and Virginia Officials Met in Kaine's Office for an Emergency Line-of-Succession Meeting

The Palmetto Scoop's Adam Fogle cited an insider source that said that Kaine and high-ranking Virginia officials met in Kaine's office for an emergency line-of-succession meeting. Fogle's source said that Obama was either going to choose Kaine, or left Kaine with the impression that he would be chosen.

Abrams & Fineman and ths Fogle are simply speculating as is everyone and their dog/cat, imo.

NO ONE has a friggin clue and I love it. That's the way the Obama campaign wanted it and they have played it brilliantly.

I only know this:

It isn't me for sure and I'm pretty sure it's not my cat although it has been acting strange lately, hmmmmmmm.

16. I honestly don't have a friggin clue who it might be....
Biden, in many ways, makes sense but, then again, so do others for as many reasons as there are possibilities.

I just love how Obama has the Corporate peacocks salivating and pulling their hair out at the same time because they are NOT in the know and they have to wait just like us and won't get a heads up but, instead, have had to sign up for a text like everyone else. It is brilliant, imo.

12. Agreed. It must be Biden.
Notwithstanding his dumb comment today "I am not the guy" which he sort of retracted later.

15. I hope so. I am totall convinced, to the depths of my soul
that O needs a seasoned political veteran. Not for me. But for countless voters
who are just a wee bit scared to have O in there (especially compared to McDummy
who they don't really know anything about -- but think they do)
