If it ain't Biden I doubt that Kaine is it either.

I have a feeling it's going to be someone we never suspected. In a sense I have a feeling maybe Kerry but that's just a hunch. I wonder if that's the case the thinking is that you can't go wrong with a guy who landed the second most votes for a pres candidate in the nations history.

I would also guess that since he was put through the wringer before he might be best equipped to deal with it. I really can't imagine who it could be as this is really gettin interesting.

Looks like the Media really has no clue.

National security experience + Florida + a "No" vote on authorizing the Iraq war...it's a great combination.

40. Why? It is change from Bush and Cheney? Not change from what could have been?
Even though I do not think it is him, it is as change as Bayh (whose father was Senator and ran for the Democratic nomination) or Biden (who has been in the Senate 30 + years and is my favorite among the three).

She does have a lot of power, though.

Really, I think it would be WAY cool if BO picked a black VP. I know, it wouldn't be good politically--or would it? That would give them something to talk about.

Alas I shall be content to have him in the house.

28. If its a surprise
it will not be an unknown, it will be a person who is already well known. Picking an unknown would confuse voters who don't have time to learn about a new person. (and they just don't care)

33. Not trying to sound mean, but
I don't think Obama is going to choose any losers. That wouldn't rule out the presidential nominees of this year, but it would rule out past candidates---Kerry, Gore (even if he was interested), and, up until the scandal that ruined his chances maybe forever, Edwards.

35. There are rumors swirling here in MA regarding Kerry
That's why I mention it.

Not sure if it's the best pick myself. Personally, I think he ran a terrible campaign and took an awful stance on the war. Either way, he did get the second most votes of any pres candidate and is decent on FP (could also say he suffers some of the same warts as Biden with the IWR).

It's also possible, based on Obama's speeches today that he doesn't want a bulldog VP. Looks to me like he's quite happy being his own Bulldog.

39. Bulldog
I made that comment in another thread. After hearing how good is doing in North Carolina today, I thought maybe he doesn't need an attack dog after all.

I'd be extremely surprised if it was Kerry. I don't really think Kerry would hurt the ticket though. Since I've never considered him in the running for VP, I haven't really thought too much about pros and cons, but my first thoughts is that at least he wouldn't hurt.
