I am going to jump on the Biden bandwagon
he is as sharp as a tack, loads of foreign policy experience, funny as hell, and a genuine good guy. Feingold would have been my first choice but America doesn't deserve him.

6. Believe it or not, I wasn't on the Biden bandwagon at first --
but now I think he's the best for this time, and for this political climate.

They make a great team.

12. Yeah! Let's cannonball the "CHANGE" message with a Washington fossil!
Biden's a career Washington blow-hard. His specialty is giving speeches, not actually doing anything. He's the ANTITHESIS of the Obama message.

16. ummm... not really
Biden has a longer list of legislative achievements than just about any other pick. He's never lived in washington, and commutes via amtrak ... public transportation ... to delaware every day. He's usually been ahead of the curve on many issues and a change agent.

Time in Washington does not mean "status quo." By that definition, if Barack Obama stayed a senator for 20 years, he would all of a sudden become "status quo" no matter what he believed or was trying to do.

Biden was essentially the young, charismatic, outsider, the "Obama" of the late 70's/80's... he's just been there a while fighting the good fight.

20. "...the "Obama" of the late 70's/80's..."
But this is 2008, and he's still the Obama of the 70s/80s. We need somehow who complements the Obama of 2008. Biden is YESTERDAY. Obama is TOMORROW. Biden is a horrible choice for a presidential candidate running on a message of "change."

14. Someone as sharp as a tack doesn't vote for the biggest debacle in U.S. history.
Edited on Wed Aug-13-08 09:15 PM by Skwmom
What in the hell is wrong with this country? Are we stuck on stupid?

Funny, but I've never known a GENUINE GOOD GUY who would push for a bankruptcy bill that favored the predatory lenders while screwing the poor and middle class. And I'm willing to bet that a majority of people would agree with me.

22. I have followed politics since the early 1980s
and I have never seen a northern politician so well liked in North Carolina. Biden is by far Obama's best pick. I have been hoping for this ticket since mid-May.
