Feingold Focusing on Senate Work; Won't Rule out VP Role
Since November 2006 Senator Russ Feingold has entertained questions about the VP slot. Now, as Senator Obama is about to pick his running mate, there has been speculation in the DU and other Democratic blogs about Feingold's prospects for VP: he is a favorite of the Democrats and his elevation to the VP slot would make the base very happy. Here is an interesting article from November 2006.

1. We would love RF to be VP. . but I don't think an article from 2 years ago
is useful in any VP talk.

7. What is wrong with being Liberal? We have allowed the ReThugs
to define us as the Boggieman that will tax and spend. Just look at Bush and the GOP: the worst tax and spenders in history who have destroyed our country and nobody takes them to task for it. I am proud of our Liberal agenda: Pro-choice, pro-Gay marriage, Pro-civil liberties, pro-stem research, etc. America is more in tune with us than the ReThugs and we should scream it from the highest tower. I think that Obama/Feingold will keepp the left happy as Obama moves to the center. Just my opinion.

6. I know that DUers believe that if we just move the ticket ever leftward, we'll
win in a landslide, but I disagree. I like Russ, but too liberal for the ticket.
