1. NO THANKS! I saw that twit Lieberman, the guy who NEVER stops
flapping his mouth! SOB didn't let John get ONE sentence complete without interrupting him with his babble! I was reminded again why Kerry lost! He should have looked over at Joe and told him to STOP interrupting me NOW! But Noooo, he played the prefessional.

18. Watch it.
Sen. Kerry did great. Not the same smackdown he gave Kyl the other day, but he got all his points in and made Lieberman look like a whiny jackass.

3. Lieberman has the whiniest voice I've ever heard
It turned me off long before went over to the dark side. He is profoundly unlikeable.

4. That's a big reason why I can't watch Lieberman...
or McCain, Bush and a lot of other right wing men. They have the whiniest, most annoying, high-pitched, thin voices I've ever heard. I'd rather listen to a metal rake being dragged across a chalkboard. And just when I get to the point of doing something rash like jumping out of a window or sticking my head in the oven, I'm able to brave the assault and and turn the channel.

6. McCain's voice is so "thin"
and quiet, and when he tries to sound tough ("follow him to the gates of hell") it sounds like a joke. Conjures up images of Mickey Mouse. Then Joe Lieberman bares his bottom teeth in a very peculiar manner, while whining at the same time. Do these guys ever watch tapes of themselves? Don't they have advisers to help them overcome bad public speaking habits?

11. They probably made him take him

I believe Gore must have had an arm twisting.

LIEberman helped them to steal the election in my view.

17. That would have been a good year to put a woman
on the ticket or anyone who could soften the image of Al Gore who was coming across as very stiff and unappealing. I love the guy as a person, but he isn't a very good "candidate".

and did well.

Lieberman is terrible, but Kerry succeeded in telling the truth and was much better than most of the other Dems that I saw against Liarman.

He got his points out - which Leiberman really didn't. Did you see the whole thing before commenting?

22. Yes I saw the whole thing. Kerry was the gentleman, letting Joe
answer Browkaw's questions, but when Brokaw asked John a question, Joe interrupted him many times! I honestly don't think I saw John able to complete ONE sentence without being babbled to by that idiot! That may be acceptable to you, but it's not to me!

Do you remember when Biden was on MTP with Graham? Graham tried to do the same thing to Biden, but Joe didn't let him get away with it...even ONCE! He wasn't mean or nasty, but he stopped in midsentence and said "Lindsey, I let you speak, now let me speak!" Lindsey shut up, and the camera shot to lindsey's face to show the obvious anger!

IMO, THAT'S the way all the Dems have to deal with the babbeling Pub fools. They all do it! They keep talking over the Dem making it almost impossible to hear either one! They do it on the TV talk shows all the time, and although a good host will control the situation and tell them to be quiet, some of the newer ones, or those with a conservative bent will let it go on and on.

26. In fact, Kerry did not need to interrupt Lieberman. Lieberman was sounding like a fool himself.
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 07:11 PM by Mass
And Kerry did exactly the same thing Biden did. The transcript does reflect that. Not sure where you were, but obviously not there. (and the transcript shows that).

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25992968/

And Lieberman is not Graham. Kerry kicked Graham's ass as well, as he did with Kyl Thursday. Yes, Lieberman interrupted, but it only made him look like a fool because Kerry made all the points he wanted to make and Lieberman looked like a fool.

and the best explanation of the timeline and what the Anbar awakening was. He also very clearly made the case that these ads constitute a clear case that McCain is mounting a character assassination campaign. Kerry incidently did stop Leiberman many times - at the end, I think he was letting Leiberman hang himself - both in terms of likability - and his likability in the outside world does NOT match DU's.

Kerry completely shut down Kyl. I don't think I've seen Biden with Leiberman. I think Biden is good, but Kerry makes his points more often - where Biden is known to take tangents.

7. Lieberman exhibited all the tell tale signs of lying
especially the fluttery eyelids. He's lying, I believe, about why he's supporting McCain. I think he wants a place in McCain's future administration. That's why he's supporting him because he knows he doesn't have a rat's chance in Obama's.

I wish he'd come out and say he made a mistake in choosing this man, and you're right, he was lying out his ass today in order to trash Obama.

12. I feel fairly certain it was to win Florida. There are a lot of Jews in Fl. and Gore
needed something to offset Shrub's brother being a popular Governor there. It's been a long time, and nothing I've seen or heard has altered my belief.

Brokaw always conveniently said "let's move on" after Lieberman had the last word on every lamebrain issue that was brought up. Kerry would do his best to respond, but Meet the (Corporate) Press was clearly against him. I mean Wes Clark's comment even made a reappearance, and Brokaw quoted it in Hannitized form with no context whatsoever. Kerry promptly keeled over and folded instead of defending Clark and the logic behind the statement. Perhaps that was the easiest thing to do rather than beat on a dead horse, but Brokaw was the one that brought it up out of nowhere as if it had been something Obama had been pushing.

Then the "panel" came up and we had 3 "non partisans" and 1 NBC-employed Republican...
