Edited on Sat Aug-02-08 01:42 AM by FrenchieCat
We are now in August. :eyes:

Can we start criticizing the fucking opposition yet?
Cause those here at DU crying about this and that are getting tiring.
We've got the McCain, the media, and DUers criticizing Barack.
I think that's more than is required.

1. YOU ARE READING MY MIND
I've kinda been posting variations on this point for a while and I've seen other people mention it too.

It's time to turn the guns on McCain, not our own guy.

4. Folks don't seem to have a clue.
As soon as the media gets wind that we are crying about this and that about Barack, they will exploit it. The only people who want that are the PUMAS and the GOP....neither who have our best interest at heart.

3. You know what? We need to stop this bullshit.
No legitimate poster on DU, who has joined for the right reasons, is going to vote for McCain in November. It is, therefore, perfectly natural that we should critique our own candidate and his strategy, because in the end, we want to make sure that he, and the ideals we stand for, are in the Oval Office in January.

Stop trying to shut down legitimate criticism of our candidate by creating the false premise that by doing so we are supporting McCain. No Democrat on this board supports him, and to imply it is completely asinine.

6. Bullshit.
The media feeds on our discontent. They troll the blogs, and some even post for that exact reason, to antagonize and stir shit up; just like the AP and the fucking cable news.

It ain't about legitimate nothing.

And you don't know who supports who, you only know what you are told.
There are definitely some posters here who don't support Obama,
and that is what this board is supposed to be about these days,
helping to elect Barack Obama......not simply not voting McCain.

16. You clearly miss the point.
See, if we bitch loudly enough, Obama will see the error of his ways and change his positions, lose the election on principles, and buy us each a pony.

That's pretty plain, isn't it?

Gaaaawd.

Edited on Sat Aug-02-08 02:39 AM by Skip Intro
I'm holding him accountable for his fucking words.

Know what?

I'm sorry, but I expect the guy asking me for my vote to hold a fucking position through Wednesday.

I fucking care about the drilling issue.

It's been my expreince over the last six years that this site is about honesty more than anything.

I really don't think I need you to tell me what this site is all about.

And you know what?

I'm not sorry.

Yeah, so Obama's open to offshore drilling. Good! He isn't close minded, and I think it is a given that he will be open to good advice on this subject as well. At least he is looking at all the possible solutions to help alleviate the oil crisis. I like that. Proposing complex and myriad solutions to solve a myriad of complex problems, unlike the single solution "fix" the Republicans try to foist on us. Sure, we know what kind of fix that is, money from our pockets to theirs. McCain will basically continue the Bush/Cheney policy of raping this land and other lands for profit. Obama won't. Duh?

Let just fight all the way to a lose.

Let's give the media some help. Afterall, they care so much about these issues!

Really. how dare you.

Well, I call bullshit on all the bullshit callers' bullshit.

FrenchieCat is right on this.

Obama isn't reading the sorry ass criticism here on DU, he's too busy winning.

Quit your bitching and go be productive, you're not helping, we'll call you if we need you.

After he's elected, you can bitch all you want.

17. I think it's funny there are DUers who actually seem surprised.
Hell, the McClurkin incident was a clear sign Obama will do whatever is politically advantageous to get elected.

That's why I've had trouble trusting Obama, even though I intend on voting for him in November.

It's August- don't you think it's about time to call them to account in no uncertain terms?

The powder's dry- and there's a whole lot of it, waiting to be used.

26. You'd think worrying about McCain being president would be more important.
But NOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo!

We all know there are still a dozen concern posters who can't stand Obama, and they're going to be bitter enders to the bitter end. When he wins, they'll keep right on hating him.

Here's McCain engaging daily in ugly conduct, reprehensible, really. So what to do the Obama haters do? They join right in with Limbaugh, the GOP, and Rove in condemning Obama.

Every election cycle our party has losers who try to take the party down in flames because they're still pissy about something. And every election cycle, good Democrats have to put up with their whining.
