1. He didn't.
Him saying that part of the attacks will be about the fact that he looks different.
That has already happened.

He is just letting us know that he is aware of the plan the GOP has,
and he will be prepared for it.

But the time September rolls around, the Republicans will have nothing left.
And if we are attacked, that will mean that the Republicans knew nothing about
keeping us safe, and that we will need friends in this world.

2. Exactly the point.....countering the R/s neg attack...Obama should consider attacking the negs for
what they are..DISTRACTIONs from McCanes weakness...which is substance....he is an empty suit, mean, angry, and unfit....

3. We need to be writing letters en masse,
telling the media that we want to see and hear more of Barack Obama, as opposed to them constantly talking about him. We are bored with them, but want to see him.

8. And Obama's repeatedly said exactly this.
He has asserted that the McCain campaign and the RNC will try to scare voters. He has said he wants to run an issues-based campaign, and he's been true to his word.

The media wants their horse race--so because Obama gives them so very little to pick on, they shit all over him for tiny things like saying he doesn't look like the other Presidents on the dollar bills.

McCain wants to make it about character--and if Obama resolutely clings to issues, a real dichotomy will be drawn between them that not even the media will be able to ignore. McCain's not like Bush--he's even more pathetic due to his half-assed campaign and his utter inability to inspire his supporters.

6. Because it worked so well against the Clintons. He'd better stop crying wolf. Save this for
when the REAL racial attacks start.

13. I doubt you'd know a real racial attack if it bit you in the ass
Must be nice to be able to live with one's head in the sand and not have to deal with the racial realities of this country.

10. All he said is that he wasn't like the presidents the world has seen before but he isn't saying I'm
black you owe me. His campaign is consistent on this right down the line unity first.

12. Pssst, Obama's black
Is he supposed to pretend that he isn't? What Obama said is right on. The Republicans have NOTHING and all they can do is try to make people scared of him. There's nothing scarier than the "other." And in this country you can't get more "other" than being black (despite the long history black people have in this country.)

Besides, Obama used that I don't look like the other presidents on the currency line 3 other times the first of which was around June I think and it wasn't declared as using the "race card."

Please stop using Republican memes. Talking about race is not "playing the race card." This country has some serious discussions that need to be done about race and downplaying the seriousness of it by reducing it to some kind of card game is frankly insulting.

Regards

knowing its to his disadvantage...

14. LOL - he's black. Pointing out the other side's tactics isn't playing the race card.
He can't ignore what they're doing and I think he's handling it very well. Typical Rovian tactic - when the other side points out what you're doing, cry foul and blame them for starting it.
