What would it say about Obama if he chose Hillary? "I'm playing defense because I need help with Democrats, especially middle aged and older female Democrats."

What would it say about Obama if he chose Biden? "I'm playing defense because I need a Washington insider with foreign policy experience because I lack experience."

What would it say about Obama if he chose Bayh? "I'm playing defense because I need a non-threatening mid-western white Senator who is a known quantity because people think my candidacy is a risky gamble."

What would it say about Obama if he chose relative unknowns Kaine (or Sebelius)? "I'm playing offense and I'm going after votes you Repubs thought you had in the bag."

If we have an Obama/Kaine ticket (or an Obama/Sebelius ticket), our children will become familiar with the phrase "Obama Republicans" just as we have lived with the slur "Reagan Democrats."

Obama/Kaine (or Obama/Sebelius) is a confident choice that takes the race to McCain's house, and such a bold choice will change the map for at least a generation.

1. You're right.
And that's why Obama won't pick any type of DC insider.

2. I hope so. Choosing Schweitzer would also reflect the same confidence as choosing Kaine.

3. If Obama is smart, he'll pick someone to the LEFT of him . . .
it's better for the party, better for voters -- and might keep him safer ---
