1. hard to believe
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 02:48 AM by iamthebandfanman
this is actually viewed as a negative by some people...

gotta love how the pundits and media whores are quickly pointing that out too. why they even give play to such a suggestion is beyond me.

4. It was awe inspiring...
It really way...
The German ARD really had better visual coverage, adn I wish my TV had PiP because I would have used the ARD visual and the CNN audio (louder, clearer)

They only showed ONE SHOT, when there are 3 streets that feed into that center that were FILLED with people!

They love him here... Obama is truly going for the abused, under appreciated Ex-pat vote imho.

He's a president the entire WORLD can love, and that has not happened in what seems like forever.
I have forgotten that the world loved Bill Clinton, and that he was always welcome. It's said that if he had run for president of the EU he would have been voted in on a land slide!

Inspirational doesn't begin to cover that speech yesterday, but the pride I feel... :)

It's clear the pundits have never set foot on foreign soil for a moment, to consider how they think and feel, if they ever have at all. Saying "I've been to Paris" is like saying I've been to disneyland, so I know how the Disney corporation think, its' all happy and flowers!

6. Percentage wise, Obama is embraced by more folks there than back home
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 12:09 PM by RiverStone
I read someplace recently that Obama is polling ahead of McBush (in terms of preference only) by a margin of 82-83% Obama and 17-18% McBush from many European countries. Obama is so representative of not only a new mind set in America, but just maybe part of a sea-change world wide.

He is such the symbol (even with the star factor) of change and McBush is so much representative of the tired, old guard --- I can't fathom NOT having Obama as our next president.

I wonder if any of that European popularity will create a ripple effect across the ocean?

2. At the very, very, very, very, very least...
He just gave America some positive PR. Much needed, too. Which wouldn't have come to us any other way. You'd think people could be a little appreciative for that if nothing else, have some manners, and ADMIT that it at least does America some good even if they don't think it will do any good for Obama. We're seeing a big demonstration of "looking a gift horse in the mouth".

The McCainites need to take a look in the mirror, because they are unbelievable whiners.
