Statement from Oprah:
for what it's worth... I found it interesting.

"I'm euphoric, I've been doing the happy dance all day. I'm so proud of Barack and Michelle Obama and what this means for all of us ... the new possibilities for our country. And if he wants me to, I'm ready to go door to door."'

(can you imagine Oprah going door to door? or even better, opening your door and finding Oprah on your doorstep???)

4. THAT sounds like a great idea.
I'm not an Oprah fan, but I know millions are. And you know, since it's Oprah, there would be video. Lots and lots of video of Oprah home visits. Wouldn't it be cool if she headed up a GOTV effort to provide rides all around the country to the polls on election day? It could be called "Oprah and You for Obama" or something like that. :)

7. I love Oprah. She took a big hit and it was very risk for her
but I'm glad she followed her own heart and instincts. She could really really help him. We're gonna need all hands on deck for this one.

9. It was a HUGE risk. She would have had to fall back on her billion-dollar media empire.

Let's put Oprah on the doorsteps in West Virginia or Kentucky...I'll bet this will change things!

(How many hard-working "white" people can resist Oprah?)

21. HA! This is what I'd say if I was Oprah....
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Obama won big-time
So nanny-nanny-poo-poo."

It's not a full-on gloat, but kind of a mini-gloat.

22. This really adds to her legacy. She played a big roll in introducing Obama to the nation.
He got the Oprah seal of approval and suddenly everybody started to pay attention.

She may have lost some viewers, but this really shows how influential she is.

24. she's probably the most influential woman
in the country. I worked for a body care retailer, and one of our products showed up on her "lists" in her magazine.
That particular product BLEW off the shelves for 6 months! we couldn't keep it stocked, amazing that power.
