I suppose this is the only list of actions that would have made many of us in here happy tonight.

1) Hillary Clinton must cry during her speech. Sad, mournful tears.

2) Hillary Clinton must admit that she was wrong to carry on her campaign all these months, although Obama didn't garner enough delegates until tonight.

3) Hillary Clinton must admit that Barack Obama is nothing less than the most inspiring, amazing politician since Queen Elizabeth (irony intended) and that she should have seen "the truth" all along.

4) Hillary Clinton must admit that she's a racist.

5) Hillary Clinton must tearfully concede the nomination to Obama, after which she should scream "WHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY!" to some unseen figure in the air.

6) Hillary Clinton should publicly slap and scream at Bill Clinton (because, of course, he "ruined" it for her.) Then she should call him a racist.

7) Hillary Clinton should admit that the Hillary Clinton nutcracker, being told to "drop out and make sandwiches" by an entire Facebook group, the "bros not hoes" T-shirts, and other images and statements were really just "silly" and not in any way sexist or demeaning. ("What was I thinking? Oh, silly me.")

8) Hillary Clinton should invite Michael Douglass onto the stage and chase him around with a butcher's knife, validating yet another stereotyped image of her.

9) Hillary Clinton should wear a skirt. Like a "proper woman" should.

10) Hillary Clinton should announce that she will begin a scrapbooking club, starting every Thursday evening at 7:30pm, with some of her fellow female residents in Chappaqua. ("Bring your scissors and glue!")

And if she doesn't do any of the above, she's a narcissist bearing a demonic soul. To the pyre with her. Because it seems that many in here wouldn't be happy otherwise.

1. Just one point, concede happily admit you will stick to your word and back the Candidate that reached
the burden of the nomination number.

No victimhood, no tears, no pain, just reality.

8. Nah, I'm pretty happy. Obama is the nominee.
I'd be more happy if she'd done the right thing and conceded, but you can't have everything.

11. In all seriousness, I think she will concede sometime this week.
I do think she needs to speak to her party, and certainly Obama, first.

stealing headlines from Obama's win because that would have been the topic of conversation. NO?

The people in the hall had no idea Obama clinched the nom tonight. Convenient.

24. She had ample time to do this in advance of tonight. That is speak to
her party and Sen. Obama. She is just doing what Hillary does and, personally, I think it's classless.

18. And some here would send her to the pyre even if she did all that.
She can throw her support to Obama later.

It would have been inappropriate, on the night she won in South Dakota by double digits (as the current vote count shows; Obama's lead over her in Montana is much narrower), to let her supporters down by conceding. Though I suspect some people here would have liked to see all her supporters in tears.

She and Obama will be discussing unity later. They're both determined to defeat McCain.

19. That's my thought. Why does it have to be tonight? Sans discussion. Sans working it out with the
party.

Yes, she is going to do this on her own terms. She has many supporters still fighting alongside her and she shouldn't just drop out and shake them off. It's been too close of a primary to do that safely, and for the sake of the party, she needs to continue to fight until she can work it out with Obama and the DNC.

if it smacked her in the ass. No wonder the hillbillies love her. I would think after tonight's historic event she will be looked at in wikopedia as the most un classy broad in this millennium.

... perhaps this post demonstrates why Clinton has lost. Vicious and short sighted sneers from those who refuse to understand the opposing view.

I'm glad this tripe is almost over here.
