Wexler and I are in total agreement.

#1 The Florida Paper Trail bill which led to the DNC slashing the voices of 1.7 million Democrats

Today Wexler acknowledged his total involvement in and support of the Paper Trail Bill which caused the DNC to slash 100% of Florida's delegates. DU-P Obama supporters that tried to bash me over this please take note.

#2 Why the DNC must count Florida's 1.75 million votes and seat no less than half of our delegates

Wexler supports this as well. DU-P Obama suppoters that tried to bash me over this please take note.

1. I agree with seating 50 % of the delegates on some sort of split that works...
If for no other reason, other than party unity and so that Florida and Michigan don't feel like they were screwed over.

5. I can't believe the DNC is stupid enough to want to "punish" voters
In a presidential election year and in Florida, of all places! After what we went through with Gore & Bush in 2000. I remember Katherine Harris's "rules" too. It will look like the height of a hypocrisy if the don't count the votes. This reminds me of the story of the kid in high school who broke the "rules" by bringing candy to school and had all his Honor Society privileges taken away. The Punishment doesn't fit the Crime. This will not hurt Obama, in fact it might help him with the voters there, especially if they feel their votes count with the Democratic Party. Please DNC..WAKE UP! Jesus!

3. At this point, I don't care what they decide.
I think that Obama would still win even if Clinton got all she's asking for.

4. As a Wexler consitutuent, I agree as well.
He likely was instrumental in having the Obama campaign endorse the 50% solution, as opposed to arguing a 50/50 split or the 0% solution. Had the Obama campaign endorsed the latter, it would have spelled a disaster for Obama in November.

I am proud of what my congressional representative just did, and it definetly secured my support of an Obama candidacy in the fall.

7. I thought Wexler acknowledging his involvement and support of the bill was quite remarkable.
All along I have thought this was important, and was a thorn in the Obama rant.

A Republican plan with Obama's Florida campaign Chairman at his side
February 1, 2007 - Governor Crist unveiled plans to spend $32.5 million to replace touch-screen e-voting machines used by most voters across the state with optical-scanning equipment that prints out paper records of a voter's choices.

Crist made the announcement Thursday at a meeting of the Voters Coalition in Delray Beach, Fla., along with US Representative Robert Wexler(Democrat, Florida) (Obama's Florida campaign chairman), and other officials. The initiative had been confirmed Wednesday by a Wexler aide.

"Through this proposal, every Floridian will be able to go to the polls with total confidence that their vote will be counted on Election Day," Wexler said in a statement. "Thanks to the leadership of Governor Crist, Florida now leads the way in election integrity -- with the guarantee of a paper trail for all votes cast."

6. POSH on this...
Read your own journal... the paper trail bill is a separate issue from the moving of the primary date. just because they were tacked together doesn't mean everyone who has been rightfully fighting for paper trails for years, are the ones to blame that the primary date was changed in the same bill.

and you seem to refuse to acknowledge that there are good reasons to have paper ballots in the first place. Wexler and others should be praised for their work on this.

POSH.

8. It was the same bill.

I have all along said it was of vital interest to all Floridians to have this bill passed, especially because of the paper trail.
