In latest email, Hillary claims she can win the nomination by winning Puerto Rico
Edited on Wed May-28-08 01:34 PM by jenmito
"Over the next four days, we have the opportunity to make history in the Puerto Rico primary -- and win the national primary vote by redoubling our efforts..."

The subject of the email was "how we win" and I don't know what the "national primary vote" IS, but it definitely can't be the DELEGATE vote. Is she calling the imaginary "popular vote" the "national primary vote" now to somehow make it sound more official?

.... I'm sure Camp Clinton will call that person "sad," in the same way the Bushies are treating Scott McClellan right now. :-)

she claims she'll try to MAKE it a state so now she can justify counting it as a state.

8. "national primary vote" means "we don't count the caucuses"
Edited on Wed May-28-08 01:44 PM by BattyDem
:eyes:

She can't declare victory in the "popular vote" because those numbers don't include caucuses, so she's claiming victory in the "primary vote" ... as if that actually means something. The word "delegates" means nothing to her.

15. I know. Even though her campaign claimed "it's all about the delegates" early on. But now
that she can't win that, it's all about the "popular vote" which doesn't even count all the votes.

47. This is so frigging wierd
first a "popular vote" tally that can't be real, now calling it "primary vote" - it would be funny if there weren't so many people who hang off of Hillary's every word, either without the capacity to use reason to know it is fake, or who do have the capacity but have suspended their critical thinking in order to "believe" or have "faith" that somehow a magic word or phrase will be discovered that give the nomination to their candidate.

Sigh - because this has gotten so wierd, I rarely read posts by Hillary supporters anymore. They'd need a whole new dictionary page to include all the new definitons concocted only to help this candidate gain the impossible. Plus, most of those posts don't make sense, either.

National PRIMARY vote, huh? My how the Clintons can parse words and make it sound like something it isn't.

By saying PRIMARY rather than POPULAR (thus not counting CAUCUSES)she moves the goalposts yet again.

Hillary, desperation isn't becoming.

30. She would be a horrible president
The way she distorts facts to sell crap, her willingness to destroy to get what she wants, her elevating tactics above strategy.

We can see now that - even if she has Democratic policy positions - she lacks the temperament and more importantly the character to be a suitable president.

How will she get us out of Iraq? Say that we deaths don't count? How will she balance the budget, say that costs don't count?

We've had enough of mission accomplished leadership by spin.

42. While they may
be able to vot4e in a primary the truth is:
The ineligibility of Puerto Rican residents to vote in presidential elections, as the US Constitution provides these rights only to full states. (Note, residents the <[District of Columbia only attained this right in 1960 by a constitutional amendment.) P.R. does not have any electors in the U.S. Electoral College, although the Puerto Rico chapters of the Republican and Democratic parties can (and do) have state-like voting delegations to their respective nominating conventions, as well as voting representation in the Democratic and Republican National Committee. [br />So what's the dif!
