Sexism: Has it hurt Hillary's campaign as much as it has helped?
In other words, is the number of men who won't vote for a woman (and the number of voters influenced by sexist pundits) greater than the number of women who have held on to their candidate despite her decreasing helpfulness to a Democratic White House - including women in the media who claim sexism has hurt her?

I suggest that her gender is mainly what has brought her to this point, not what has defeated her.

Your thoughts?

1. It's helped more than hurt
I have yet to hear one person say they wouldn't vote for Hillary because she was a woman, but I have heard many people say they would vote for her, just because she is a woman.

2. Helped more than hurt
But I think I can say the same thing for Obama's race.

I'm for Obama, by the way.

about the race 'thing' helping Obama:

let's see...approximately 50%+ of EVERYBODY in the U.S.A. is female

...approximately what? 10% of EVERYBODY in the U.S.A. is black

...apples & oranges, has been the whole time....

6. I'm white, and I'd like to see a black president
By far not the only reason I'd vote for him, but I can honestly say that.

So did the much older woman at the opthamologist's office this week.

WOOHOO! And she used to be a republican.

3. I think her last name got her where she is more than being a woman

Plenty of talented, democratic senators, governors and congresswomen more qualified than she is that could run but she has brand name power.

There have been black men as presidential candidates before but none has won the hearts of Americans like Obama has and he came out of nowhere.

Plus, what makes everyone think that most black women would vote for Hillary? Is that just another arrogant assumption from the Clinton campaign or do they feel that they are insignificant?

4. Hehe,
That sounds a lot like what Geraldine Ferraro said that got her in so much trouble. You sure you want to go there?
