... how much do you want to bet that freeper heads are exploding over that? I would go over there and check for myself, but I don't hate myself enough to visit that sewer.

every Senator who I've seen speak about this seems really upset. You can especially see it in their eyes.

And you can bet that the Fox/FR contingent will never forgive him for it.
How dare he say a few kind words about someone he's known for 20 years!

3. These gentlemen work together every day
and oftentimes in a bipartisan manner. As much as we "hate" the other side, I think there is a genuine respect for fellow senators on both sides of the aisle.

4. Among the paleo's, definitely.
Even if they don't necessarily respect each other, they at least have some sense of basic decorum.

5. McCain is not quite the utter scumbag the Republicans wanted to nominate.

I think most of us agree that McCain--while worthless as cow dung politically, and far too close to death to be President--has one or two recognizably non-slimy qualities. That's why they don't like their own candidate, the poor tortured devils.

6. I got curious and checked on the freepers a while ago. They had
already locked 4 threads because of the number of hatefilled posts that had been made and deleted. I cannot imagine how bad they must have been. To their credit, most of the posters expressed hope for his recovery and sent prayers.
