Wes Clark on Morning Joe
I think it is clear he would want the VP. While he continued to assert the Clinton Talking Points of "let the process play itself out", he also gave a vigorous and personalized defense of Obama's position that talking to adversaries is not wrong. He talked about how talking with adversaries in Bosnia helped him to know and understand the opposition, improving his ability to plan victory.

When asked about the VEEP, he did the worst job of saying we needed to wait for the process.

I hope he is the selection. I've heard him speak (when he was running for President) and he is terrific.

1. An ethical VP.
With deep experience in military matters. I'd get on board with that ticket! :Kick:

2. One thing that I didn't really understand
is that when Pat asked him about Hillary's "obliterate Iran" comments, he defended it by saying something like "I think every Democrat has made it clear that there needs to be more dialogue with Iran. There needs to be more dialogue." And then he gave several historical examples in which presidential administrations have had to sit down with enemies when asked about George Bush, and said that it was completely simplistic to reduce such talks to "giving anything away". I agree, his dodging of the VP question was completely hilarious.

8. Without seeing the actual interview (but knowing Clark), I'm
guessing he was taking more of the Joe Biden approach - that if we would, indeed, be "obliterating Iran" if we were ever to go to war with them (as a last, last, last resort).

He's not saying we SHOULD - which was his point in citing the historical examples of meeting with our "enemies," but, be honest... if we went to war with Iran, we would obliterate them.

BTW, Clark's adamantly against going to war in Iran.

3. Agreed.
Southern Democrat, Vietnam vet, Clinton ally, former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO during the (more or less) successful Kosovo campaign, speaks seven languages...I'd like to see McCain go toe to toe over foreign policy and military experience with HIM!

9. GO HORNETS - Bayou Bengal
The Hornets Nest will be overflowing tonight and the quarter should be rocking by Midnight. I foresee a win tonight but a seven game series with the Lakers will be tough.

McCain V Clark - I believe they call that a no contest.

7. Bill Richardson as Secretary of State could work if Clark is VP, but...
But his dodging the question of the VP question & pushing Clinton's popular vote just annoyed me...
